TANASI - PO Box 2202 Cherokee NC 28719-2202

A "Grassroots" organization recognized On 18 Dec 2018 by leaders from the National American Indian Movement*.

One name - Same game. ProjectTN is now AIM: TN & WNC

Project:TANASI and The American Indian Movement of TN & WNC are one-in-the-same. New logos to appear next month. Please don't have panic attacks because we are changing names - it's just not "that serious". This organizations path was well on the way to becoming an AIM chapter as far back as September 2017 when a few of us in Nashville - disenfranchised with the "leadership" of Native American Indian Association of Tennessee - sat on a basement couch in an undisclosed residence.
With special thanks to Frank Paro (who gave us the initial blessing to step away from the Kentucky chapter in November 2018), Haloka Nakahvmmi (our director), David Hill (a member of the National Movement and a Wounded Knee veteran) , Cetan Se Winyan (of AIM Indian Territory) , Two Feathers & Heavy D - among others for the inspiration to stand on our own feet! You truly find out who your friends are when you try to stand independent but in alliance with others <3
